1.Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at jaabni.com, the web application at app.jaabni.com, and the Jaabni browser extension (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Jaabni ("we", "our", or "us").
By installing the extension, creating an account, or using any part of the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We wrote these Terms to be readable, not to bury important information in legal language. If anything is unclear, contact us at .
2.Who We Are
Jaabni is operated by an individual developer under the trading name "Jaabni." We are not currently a registered company. When a legal entity is established, these Terms will be updated to reflect that.

- Website: jaabni.com
3.The Service
Jaabni is a browser extension and launchpad that lets you save, organise, and recall notes tied to specific websites and page elements. The Service includes:
- The Jaabni browser extension (currently for Chromium-based browsers)
- The launchpad at app.jaabni.com
- The marketing website at jaabni.com
- Any related APIs, notifications, or reminder features
- An MCP server endpoint that Pro users can connect to compatible AI tools (such as Claude Desktop or Google Antigravity) to access their notes via conversation
- Team workspaces, where a group of people share notes, mention each other, and comment on shared notes
The Service is provided "as is." We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We will give reasonable notice before removing features that paying subscribers actively rely on.
4.Eligibility and Accounts
4.1 Age
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that you have parental or guardian permission.
4.2 Account responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at if you suspect unauthorised access.
You may only create one account per person. Accounts are not transferable.
4.3 Accurate information
When creating an account you agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. We may suspend accounts where we have reason to believe the information provided is false or misleading.
5.Plans
5.1 Guest (no account)
You can use the extension without creating an account. Notes are stored locally in your browser only, up to a limit of 50 notes. Guest notes are never sent to our servers. Uninstalling the extension permanently deletes them.
5.2 Free account
Creating a free account gives you access to the launchpad and keeps your notes backed up locally on your device. The same 50-note limit applies. One active reminder is included. Notes are only uploaded to our servers if you upgrade to Pro.
5.3 Pro account
Pro is a paid subscription that unlocks:
- Unlimited notes synced to the cloud
- Unlimited reminders
- Access to your notes from any device via the dashboard
- CSV export of all your notes
- AI / MCP integration — generate an API key to connect your notes to compatible AI tools
Features may evolve over time. We will not remove core Pro features without notice and without offering a fair remedy (such as a pro-rated refund for the affected period).
5.4 Team plan
The Team plan is sold in packs of 10 seats at a flat price per pack, billed monthly or annually. One person buys the plan and becomes the team owner; the remaining seats are filled by invitation.
Every occupied seat carries the full Pro feature set for that person's own notes, plus the shared features described in Section 6. Seats are not individually priced and cannot be bought in smaller increments.
5.5 Plan limits and fair use
"Unlimited" on a paid plan means we do not meter your normal work. It does not mean the absence of limits. The Service is sold for use by one person per account, at a pace a person can produce, and we apply the following published limits so that one account's behaviour cannot degrade everybody else's service.
- A note holds up to 300 words
- A note carries up to 100 comments
- A comment is up to 500 characters, editable by its author for 15 minutes after posting
- Requests are rate-limited per account; sustained automated traffic will be throttled
Beyond those published numbers, fair use means: one person per account, no sharing of credentials or seats, no scripted or bulk generation of notes or comments, no reselling of your access, and no use that places a disproportionate load on the Service relative to comparable accounts.
Where use appears unfair, we will contact you first and work out a reasonable arrangement. We reserve the right to throttle or suspend an account that is degrading the Service for others, or where contacting you first is not practical because the load is active and severe. We will not do so as a way of avoiding a refund.
We may adjust these limits to protect service quality. Any change that reduces a limit for existing paid subscribers will be communicated with at least 30 days' notice.
6.Teams
6.1 Roles
A team has one owner — the person whose subscription pays for it — and any number of members. Only the owner can rename the team, invite or remove people, change the number of seat packs, or transfer ownership. You can belong to only one team at a time.
6.2 Invitations and seats
The owner invites people by email address. An invitation link expires after 7 days and can only be used once. You do not need a Jaabni account to be invited — you can create one when you accept.
Invitations cannot be sent beyond the number of seats the team has bought, counting members and outstanding invitations together. If the owner reduces the number of seat packs below the current headcount, the team is flagged as over its seat count and the owner is asked to remove someone. We will never remove a member automatically as a side effect of a billing change.
6.3 What your team can see
Every note is either personal or team. Personal notes are visible only to you and behave exactly as they did before teams existed.
A team note with nobody mentioned is visible to everyone in the team. Mentioning one or more teammates narrows it: only you and the people you mention can see it. Choosing team visibility is an active decision on your part — no note is ever shared with your team automatically.
When a note is shared, your teammates can see its content, the web address and page title it was captured from, the excerpt of the page it is anchored to, its tags and status, your display name, and the conversation on it.
6.4 Who can change a shared note
Anyone who can see a team note can change its status and pin it — that is what makes a shared board work, and a pin applies for everyone. Only the note's author can edit its content, change its tags, type, or reminders, change who it is shared with, archive it, or delete it.
6.5 Comments and mentions
Comments can be posted on team notes, up to 500 characters each and 100 per note. You may edit your own comment within 15 minutes of posting and delete your own comment at any time. The team owner may also delete any comment in their team, so they can deal with content they are responsible for.
Mentioning someone in a comment on a note that is already narrowed gives that person access to the note. On a note that the whole team can already see, a mention only notifies them. Mentioned people receive an in-app notification and an email.
6.6 Leaving, removal, and closure
If the owner removes you, or you are removed when the team closes, your seat is released and your account reverts to the free plan. Your personal notes remain yours and untouched. Notes you wrote and shared with the team stay with the team while the team exists, because your colleagues have been working from them.
A team closes when its subscription is cancelled or ends, or when the owner deletes their account. On closure, every shared note reverts to a personal note belonging to whoever wrote it, comments on those notes are removed, and every member returns to the free plan. Nobody's notes are deleted.
Because deleting the owner's account closes the team for everyone, an owner can transfer ownership to another member first. The launch pad warns the owner before deletion and names the number of people affected.
6.7 The owner's responsibility
The team owner is responsible for who they invite and for their team's use of the Service under these Terms. If you invite someone to your team, you are sharing your team's notes with them and you confirm you are entitled to do so.
7.Payment, Billing, and Refunds
7.1 Billing
Pro and Team subscriptions are billed through Paddle (paddle.com), who acts as Merchant of Record. All payment processing, tax collection, and receipts are handled by Paddle. We never see or store your card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, depending on the plan you chose). You will receive a receipt from Paddle before renewal.
7.2 Team billing
A Team subscription is billed per 10-seat pack. Adding packs increases the charge from the next renewal, and Paddle applies its standard proration for the current period. Removing packs takes effect at the next renewal.
You cannot hold a personal Pro subscription and a Team subscription at the same time. If you have an active personal subscription, cancel it before starting a Team plan — we will not cancel it for you or apply proration between the two.
Seats are paid for whether or not they are filled, and an unused seat is not refundable. If a member's account is suspended, their seat remains occupied until the owner removes them.
7.3 Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
Cancelling a Team subscription closes the team at the end of the period, as described in Section 6.6. Every member returns to the free plan and shared notes revert to their authors. The owner is responsible for telling their team; we also notify each member in the app.
7.4 Refunds
If you are not satisfied with your Pro or Team subscription, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the charge date. A Team refund is requested by the owner and covers the whole subscription; refunding it closes the team. After 14 days, charges are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
To request a refund, email with your account email and the charge date. We process refund requests within 5 business days.
EU and UK consumers may have additional statutory rights under local consumer protection laws. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.
7.5 Price changes
We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Price increases will not apply to your current billing period — only to the next renewal after the notice period has passed.
8.Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Store or transmit content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its infrastructure, or other users' accounts
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Use automated means to scrape, crawl, or abuse the Service in a way that disrupts its operation
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission
- Share your MCP API key with others or use it in a way that grants third parties access to your notes beyond the AI tool you have configured
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Post content in a shared note or comment that harasses, threatens, or abuses a teammate, or that you are not permitted to disclose to them
- Use mentions or invitations to send unsolicited messages, or invite people to a team in order to reach them rather than to work with them
- Share a team seat between several people, or keep a seat assigned to someone who has left your organisation in order to retain their access
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including account suspension. Where a violation concerns shared content, we may contact the team owner.
9.Your Content
9.1 Ownership
Your notes and any content you save through the Service belong to you. We claim no ownership over your content. This does not change when you share a note with a team — a shared note still belongs to the person who wrote it, and a comment belongs to the person who posted it.
9.2 Licence to us
By storing notes on our servers (Pro users), you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and transmit your content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not use your note content for advertising, analytics, or machine learning. This licence ends when you delete your content or account.
9.3 Sharing with a team
When you mark a note as a team note, you grant the people who can see it a licence to read it, to change its status, and to comment on it, for as long as they are in the team. You can end that at any time by making the note personal again or by deleting it.
You are responsible for what you share. Do not share a note containing confidential, personal, or regulated information with people who are not entitled to see it.
9.4 Your responsibility
You are responsible for the content you save. You confirm that you have the right to save and store any content you add to the Service. We are not liable for content you save through the extension, or for content a teammate shares with you.
9.5 Data export
Pro and Team users can export their notes as a CSV file at any time from the launch pad. An export contains your personal notes and the team notes you wrote — it is a copy of your own data, not a download of your team's workspace. Guest and free users can access their notes directly — they live in your browser's local storage.
10.Intellectual Property
The Jaabni name, logo, extension, web application, and all associated software, designs, and content are owned by Jaabni and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand assets without prior written permission.
If you believe any content on the Service infringes your intellectual property rights, contact us at .
11.Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you agree to the data practices described there.
12.Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that notes stored locally on your device will not be lost if your device fails, storage is cleared, or the extension is uninstalled.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including statutory consumer rights.
13.Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jaabni shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
14.Termination
14.1 By you
You may stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your account from your profile page, which immediately and permanently removes all your data from our servers — including your notes and the comments you have posted on other people's notes.
If you are in a team, deleting your account also settles your membership. As a member, your seat is released back to your team. As an owner, your team is closed for everyone in it — transfer ownership first if you want it to continue. In both cases the notes you wrote are deleted, including notes you had shared with your team.
14.2 By us
We may suspend or terminate your account for any reason with 30 days' written notice to your registered email address.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if:
- You have materially violated these Terms (e.g. illegal use, abuse of the Service)
- Continued access poses a security or legal risk to us or other users
- Required by law or a valid legal order
Suspending a team member does not free their seat. The seat remains paid for and occupied until the team owner removes them.
14.3 Effect of termination
On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. If we terminate your account without cause, we will provide a pro-rated refund for any unused portion of a paid subscription period. If you terminate or if termination is due to your breach of these Terms, no refund is owed.
Sections 9 (Your Content), 10 (Intellectual Property), 12 (Disclaimers), 13 (Limitation of Liability), and 16 (Governing Law) survive termination.
15.Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of any material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
Continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of those Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may close your account before they take effect.
16.Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction in Pakistan, except where applicable consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.
If you are located in the EU or UK, nothing in these Terms limits your right to bring a claim before a court in your country of residence or to rely on mandatory consumer protections in your local law.
